I did modification for a customer to use 3 batteries at the same time for his Engwe X26 , now real working range of this Ebike is over 150km!.
I decided to use battery combiner with 3x inputs , 1x output and 1x charging port. This one is really decent because you can disconnect and connect any time battery with different charging state without worring about any issue & charge all batteries simultaneous by using one charger.

- It will discharge at first, batterywith the highest voltage
- It will charge at first battery with lowest voltage, th
- When voltage is equal on all connected batteries , all batteries will be charge / discharge simultaneous
- When one battery is disconnected , then this port is also automatically disabled
Preparing wiring , designing shell for combiner & make it all fit to my rear rack ,took lot’s of time but it was worth it. Lot’s of things has to be considered to make it fits and works, make it splash/ rain proof & be sure that customer will never have any issue with it.
I added extra 12V output and switch ON/OFF for it, for now 12V is used for rear camera
Yes ! It’s hard to fix standard chinese ” cable jungle ” in controller compartment but, I did my best.
*** Never save cash on cables, this is very crucial because all those are connected directly to battery. There is no second chance !
I did extra 25Ah battery on 21700 cells, real working range is easily over 120km and endless charging time on stock charger 😉
