I made ThrotX for riders who prefer a thumb throttle but want to keep the trigger already fitted to their scooter. Press the paddle with your thumb and the red flexible link pulls the original trigger for you. You can still use your index finger whenever you feel like it. There’s no rewiring and no need to replace the display.
What I like most is the feel. The paddle has a longer movement than the stock trigger, which helps me feed in the power more gradually. It also lets me keep four fingers around the grip. In the video I take it over potholes and onto a wooded trail to see how it feels away from the workbench.

Fits practically any e-scooter with a trigger throttle
ThrotX is designed to fit practically any e-scooter with a conventional index-finger trigger throttle and a standard handlebar, as long as there’s enough room beside the grip. That includes familiar setups from Laotie, Boyueda and Joyor. I use a Laotie SR10 in the video. The trigger shape and available space are what matter when fitting it to another scooter.
Watch me fit it and take it for a ride
I start by making room on the handlebar, removing the grip and sliding ThrotX into place. The red guide goes over the original trigger, then I adjust the paddle position and travel stop. Finally, the spacer washer and grip go back on. The video shows the adjustment up close before I head out for the first ride.

A closer look at Pro V1
Here’s Pro V1 off the scooter. You can see the bearing that the paddle turns on, the printed housing and the flexible red linkage. I’ve included both the loose parts and the assembled adapter so you can get a proper look at how it goes together.

And here are a few photos of ThrotX from 2023, alongside the Pro V1 details above.
